Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the Was It Luck? website, APIs, analytics, and optional account features. By accessing or using the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

The Service

Was It Luck? retrieves public fantasy football information from Sleeper and calculates statistics, comparisons, awards, and other analysis for informational and entertainment purposes. Some public analysis can be used without a Was It Luck? account. Optional account features can save supported Sleeper leagues and combine eligible analytics across seasons. Available providers and features are shown in the service and may change over time.

Accounts and Authentication

Optional accounts are authenticated through Amazon Cognito. You must provide accurate information, keep access to your email and sign-in method secure, and promptly notify us of suspected unauthorized use. You are responsible for activity performed through your account. We may refuse registration, suspend access, or remove an account where reasonably necessary to protect the service, enforce these terms, or comply with law.

Saving a Sleeper league requires a Sleeper account that owns a roster in that league. You must not use another person's identity or attempt to associate leagues you are not entitled to manage through the service.

Feature Availability and Plans

The service may display plan names, feature entitlements, provider limits, or saved-league limits. Development and test environments may temporarily enable features that are not generally available. Current access shown in the product is not a promise that a feature, limit, or plan will remain available indefinitely.

Paid checkout and recurring subscriptions are not offered unless the service presents a specific purchase flow, price, billing period, and additional terms for your acceptance. If paid services are introduced, the applicable price, renewal, cancellation, and refund information will be shown before any charge. Voluntary donations do not purchase a plan or unlock account features.

Acceptable Use

You agree to use the service only for lawful purposes. You must not:

• Damage, disable, overload, scrape excessively, or interfere with the service.
• Bypass access controls, plan limits, rate limits, or other technical protections.
• Attempt unauthorized access to an account, system, network, or non-public data.
• Introduce malicious code or use the service to violate law or another person's rights.
• Abuse the Sleeper API or other third-party services through Was It Luck?

Accuracy of Information

Statistics depend on third-party data, league settings, our interpretation of that data, and the calculation methods explained by the service. Data can be delayed, incomplete, or changed by its provider, and calculations can contain errors. Do not rely on Was It Luck? for financial, betting, legal, or other professional decisions.

Donations

Optional support payments are processed by third-party platforms such as Ko-fi or Buy Me a Coffee under their own terms. Unless clearly stated in a separate offer, a donation is a voluntary contribution, is not a purchase of Was It Luck? services, and does not change your account access or entitlements.

Intellectual Property

All content and materials available on our website, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, and images, are the property of Was It Luck? or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws.

"Sleeper" and related trademarks are the property of Blitz Studios, Inc. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Sleeper or Blitz Studios, Inc.

Third-Party Services

The service depends on third parties including Sleeper, Amazon Web Services, Amazon Cognito, Google, and optional donation platforms. Their services may be unavailable, changed, or discontinued, and your use of them is governed by their terms. Was It Luck? is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Sleeper or Blitz Studios, Inc.

Disclaimer of Warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not promise that the service will always be available, accurate, secure, compatible with every league, or free from errors.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Was It Luck? and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive loss arising from the service, including loss of data, opportunity, profit, use, or goodwill. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Termination

You may stop using the service at any time. We may restrict or suspend access where you breach these terms, create security or operational risk, abuse third-party services, or where restriction is reasonably required by law. Contact us if you want to request deletion of your optional account and associated saved-league records.

Changes to Terms

We may update these terms as the service changes. The revised terms will be posted here with an updated effective date. If a change materially affects an optional account or a future paid service, we may provide additional notice where appropriate. Continued use after revised terms take effect constitutes acceptance of those terms.
